British, 1919 - 1999Clough attended the Chelsea School of Art in London (1938–9), but when her studies were interrupted by World War II she became an engineer's draughtsman and mapper (1940-45). Her early paintings were figurative- landscapes and still lifes but by the end of her life she became primarilly an abstract artist. Her forst solo exhibition was at the London Leger Gallery. She went on to participate in very many group exhibitions and solo shows in Britain and internationally. Her work is well represented in public collections, notably the Tate Gallery |
