the book was issued in an edition of 1,000 by the Redfern Gallery, London for their exhibition of of prints by artists published by Ediciones Poligrafa, Barcelona; it features lithographs by the leading printmakers of the time; the artists are :
Miró, Bird, Camacho, Castillo, Chillida, Christo, Guinovart, Hernández Pijuan, Lam, Matta, Moore, Ponç, Ráfols Casamada, Sutherland, Tamayo, Tàpies, Télémaque, Velickovic, Vieira da Silva and Zao Wou-Ki.
included is an extra loose impression of the 16 colour Miro lithograph which appears on the cover
all in excellent condition
the book also contains an interesting essay on the history and work of Ediciones Poligrafa by Professor Giralt-Miracle of Barcelona University
Ediciones Poligrafa was started by Manuel de Muga in 1964 and became one of the leading publishers of fine art book and original prints; the printers of Barcelona were famed for their technical mastery and Muga employed the best of them. Poligrafa was described by a German critic as "the greatest art printing house in the world"
