a superb example of this very early woodcut probably made when Orlik was experimenting with the medium together with his friend Bernhard Pankok in Munich; this is very likely a unique impression and has delicate hand-colouring, including a touch of silver on the belt of the dress
this woodcut bears a stylistic similarity to those being made by Wassily Kandinsky at about the same date

on old rag paper with the colours spreading to the margins but in excellent condition
EXTREMELY RARE; not mentioned or illustrated in any literature on Orlik
